Blood Donation Camp (31st July, 2024)

On Wednesday, 31st July 2024, the feast of St Ignatius of Loyola, St Pius X college was excited and thrilled to organize the Blood donation camp in the main hall of the seminary. Our Rector, Fr. Gilbert de Lima led us in prayer and he blessed the event and those who were present.

The blood donation drive was held in association with Holy Spirit Hospital Blood Bank. The event was a great success, with a total of 31 brothers, staff members and the DHM sisters from Premankur who had registered to donate blood. The team of medical professionals from the hospital conducted a thorough medical screening of the donors. The Infirmary department assisted with coordinating the drive and other necessary procedures. Refreshments and Certificates of appreciation were provided to all donors.

It was heart-warming to see our community members coming forward to selflessly donate blood which might someday make a significant difference in the lives of the patients in need. The event was a success as we saw many hands coming together to serve, share and love, all “for the greater glory of God.”

We thank once again all those who made this event a successful one with their participation and generosity.
