Annual Sports Day: 28th March, 2022

On Monday, 28th March 2022, St Pius X family witnessed a wonderful event in the community. The Annual Sports Day was held on the lawns from 3.45 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The brothers enjoyed all the events of the program, as they were preparing for this event from the beginning of the academic year by participating in various games and events.

This sports day on the other hand invigorated the desire for sports and a healthy community living amongst brothers. The event began with a march-past which started at the porch moving towards the oval lawn. Bishop Percy was the chief guest for the day’s event and Fr Aniceto Pereira, our Rector was present with other staff members. The brothers assembled in their own respective groups. The event began with a prayer, after which the groups presented their mascots to the chief guest. The Sports department members organized Tele games for all the groups who participated whole-heartedly and won the prizes in various events. Then Bishop Percy addressed the community reminiscing about his younger days as a sportsman and encouraged the brothers to actively participate in various sports events and to make the best use of the facilities provided to them. Fr Aniceto then wished the winners and appreciated the community for their active participation. At the end of the event, Bishop Percy handed over the trophy and prizes to the winners.
