The ‘Ordinati Day’ is one of the much awaited days in the Seminary calendar. On this day we celebrate the feast of our patron Saint Pius X. He is remembered by all for his vision and dedication towards “restoring all things in Christ”. It is in this spirit that the seminary celebrates its Community Day. The highlight of this day is the visit and celebration of the Holy Mass by the Ordinati (the previous year’s graduated batch). This year’s batch included priests, permanent deacons as well as a lay person. After the mass, the entire group was felicitated including the tradition of composing and singing songs on the distinct qualities of each Ordinati. Spending a day with them is a reminder to the seminarians, of the future that they are working for.
I thank Dn. Fredrick Correa, Fr. John Paul, Fr. John Pereira, Mr. Maxim D’Cruz, Fr. Nobel Main, Fr. Robinson Varghese, Fr. Sanjay Fereira, Fr. Simon Rodrigues, Dn. Sylvester Lobo and Fr. Vivian Richards for making this day special for our community by their presence.
